Celebrities: they're just like us — and that means they DIY! All jokes aside, there are quite a few household names that spend their off-hours making household items. From knitting to crafting, these stars show that DIY really is for everyone! Check out some big names and their most popular creative and crafty outlets.

Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba founded The Honest Company, inspired by DIY recipes and making high-quality, natural products from everyday ingredients. Originally, many of her beauty treatments were just DIY recipes, and she’s shared recipes for face masks, body scrubs, and more. She’s also been known to get crafty in the home by giving her daughters DIY haircuts or making Christmas DIY tutorials!

David Beckham

David Beckham was an English soccer player, now retired after being one of the best. He has four children, and it turns out he likes to DIY with them! Wife Victoria Beckham shared a photo of him sewing doll clothes for one of his daughter's toys, and paparazzi spotted him painting pottery (with some skill!) with his kids.

Pierce Brosnan

Pierce Brosnan is an Irish-American actor best known for playing James Bond in four of the Bond films. Pierce is actually an artist at a small studio in South London where he makes and sells paintings to benefit various charities!

Lauren Conrad

She's a fashion designer, so of course her skills translate over to DIY! Her DIY skills are seen in her beauty guru videos, epic parties, and home recipes.

Cara Delevingne

Cara has always been known for her standout eyebrows, but now it's her standout knit pieces that are capturing attention! Delevingne has been spotted backstage at fashion shows with knitting needles and balls of yarn making hats. She’s also been associated with the knitting supply company Wool and the Gang, and modeled their cartoon beanie at a London Fashion Week.

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton may be a name you're more surprised to see on the list, but this socialite is actually known for her scrapbooking supply line! While it was almost a decade ago, her DIY scrapbooking supplies had stickers, decals, and so much more.

Katie Holmes

Katie Holmes is best known for her hit role in Dawson’s Creek, but has starred in countless movies and TV shows. Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise have a daughter named Suri, who Katie frequently does teen-friendly DIYs with! She’s also suggested some of the seasonal DIYs she does to add a finishing touch to presents. And of course, Katie is a known sewer and has made curtains, pillows, and more for their home.

John Lennon

John Lennon of The Beatles is known for his creativity, which his musical talent surely shows. As another creative outlet, the artist was known to sew quite frequently. It's often conspired that Lennon may have even helped with or DIYed some of the zany outfits the group was known to wear.

Pippa Middleton

You’ll recognize Pippa Middleton as the sister to Kate Middleton, who is currently married to Prince William. True to the royal English vibe, Pippa wrote a book called Celebrate: A Year of Festivities for Families and Friends. Her party planning skills take on a DIY-esc nature as she dives into party-hosting tips, recipes, and creating themes.

Nick Offerman

Nick Offerman is probably better known for his most popular part: Ron Swanson of Parks and Recreation. In the show, Ron is a rough-and-tumble guy with a passion for the outdoors, traditional craftsmanship, and bacon. Like his character, Nick Offerman happens to be a woodworker and craftsman himself! He — alongside Amy Poehler — even made a show called Making It, a humorous Project Runway-inspired competition where amateur DIYers complete crafts.

Sarah Jessica Parker

Sarah Jessica Parker, best known as Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City, is more than an actress and producer — she’s also a DIYer! Much like Cara Delevingne, Sarah Jessica Parker uses knitting to pass the time between shooting and filming. Some of her iconic outfits have also been turned into DIY projects, including her New York City Ballet fall gala flower piece and her flower-donned blazer look (iconic for its time).

Taylor Swift

One big celebrity in the DIY space is the one and only Taylor Swift. The country-pop singer is known for making home art pieces as well as gifts by hand. On top of sharing her songs with us, she's shared her watercolor gifts and homemade snow globes on social media as well.
